MRI Breast Imaging Modality
In order to perform MRI breast imaging, it is necessary to upgrade the existing MRI with a special breast examination modality. This includes a computerized workstation exclusive for breast modalities, a special bed platform, wire breast coils - a signal receiver placed around the breast that sends and receives radio waves within the magnetic field of an MRI unit to create the images, and an MRI compatible biopsy needle system.
