Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Suite
Rabin Medical Center considers early and accurate diagnosis as the first step to recovery, and as a priority in its care of patients.
The present MRI system was purchased over a decade ago. Since then there have been unprecedented advances in the magnetic resonance technologies, and the new-generation MRI systems boast greatly enhanced accuracy and speed and increased diagnostic clinical results, giving a much wider range of diagnostic capabilities.
In order to keep in stride with the medical advancements, as well as to fulfill a constantly growing need for MRI testing, it is vital that we purchase a new MRI machine. Thus, we will ensure that our patients are getting the best possible diagnostic care.
Cost of 1.5T MRI: $1,200,000
The MRI must be housed in a specially shielded environment, protecting the environment from the high magnetism.
Cost of construction upgrading to include this special shielding: $100,000
