Honorary Board

American Friends of Rabin Medical Center (AFRMC) is a 501(c) 3 organization established to support the Rabin Medical Center's mission and commitment to excellence in care.  The staff, board and volunteers are charged with encouraging individual, family and institutional commitments to the hospital and with publicly promoting the hospital.  This is accomplished by encouraging visitation, by creating joint ventures with other medical establishments, and by raising funds through a variety of programmatic efforts throughout the US, to help the Rabin Medical Center remodel and refurbish its facilities with the most advanced technology and equipment.

Joshua Plaut, Ph.D., is Executive Director of American Friends of Rabin Medical Center. Dr. Plaut holds a Ph.D. in Hebrew and Judaic Studies from New York University, and received his rabbinical ordination from Hebrew Union College. He has also authored two books on Jewish subjects.  Previously, Dr. Plaut was the Executive Director of the Center for Jewish History for four years.
