
The Sixth Annual Cheryl Diamond NYC 5k Schlep Run / Walk in Battery Park on June 5, 2016 highlighted the BRCA Gene Multidisciplinary Clinic, serving women at high risk of breast and ovarian cancer. The race also funds research for cancer cures at Rabin Medical Center’s Davidoff Cancer Center in Israel, a world-class facility for the treatment and prevention of cancer.

In September, 2015, at age 51, Melissa Arnold was
diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Her immediate
reaction was relief. She had felt awful for
months, with pain in her upper chest and
weird bloating in her stomach and legs.
Approximately 9,000 babies are born at the Helen Schneider Hospital for Women yearly and about seven percent of these are premature deliveries where the baby is still hospitalized after the mother goes home.
